Fall Sports Results
Girls Softball
Silk Hope vs. JS Waters 10-16-2014

In a very close game against JS Waters, the Lady Eagles came away with the win when Baylee Fox bunted in the winning run.

Kelsey Justice also had a great bunt to score the first run for the Eagles scoring Emery Moore who reached on a single earlier in the inning.  Also hitting for the Eagles was Ashlyn Ray with a bunt single to start the game.

The girls remain undefeated as they head into next week's 3 games.

Boys Soccer
Silk Hope vs. Margaret Pollard 10-16-2014
The boys soccer team played away against Pollard Middle School. The Silk Hope boys continued to play incredibly well and are starting to show more teamwork skills: communicating, passing, and shooting as a solid unit. By halftime, we only let 1 lucky shot in, and by the end of the game, only 1 more shot got in goal.

Our team is getting better with each game they play; and they are true gentlemen, even under pressure. Playing extra hard this game were Camden Fuquay who played the entire game in net helping keep many shots out and both Hunter Cole & Daniel Soto who were all over the field saving the day as they swooped in to steal the ball and return it to their team to move back up the field.

Volunteer Application Information
We love our volunteers at SHS!  Anyone wishing to tutor, be a classroom helper, chaperone field trips, etc must fill out an online application through the AppGarden site.  As a reminder, volunteers must resubmit an application each school year.

You can access the site here.  If you are new to the site you will need to click on the green link at the bottom to register.  If you have an account with AppGarden you do not need to create a new account.  You will just need to log in and update your profile.

Please note the criminal background checks may take several weeks to process so please complete the application as soon as possible.

School Improvement Team Meeting Dates
The School Improvement Team will meet on the 3rd Monday of each month with the exception of January (there will be no meeting) and March (we will meet on the 4th Monday) in the Media Center. Parents and other stakeholders are welcome to attend.
