Boys Soccer
Silk Hope Vs. Moncure 9-16-14

The Silk Hope Eagles boys soccer team played their first game of the season away at Moncure. Despite the heat, rough field conditions, and only 6 practices under their belts, the boys played hard on the field and held their ground, starting the season with a tie. 27 shots on goal yielded 2 balls in the net, both by Daniel Soto, with assists by Israel Garcia & Hunter Cole. Their next game is Thursday at home against Pollard.

Silk Hope vs. Margaret Pollard 9-18-14
The boys soccer team played their second game of the season at home against Pollard yesterday. Although Pollard is a seasoned team with advanced foot skills and a solid reputation in the soccer community, Silk Hope proudly stepped up their game to match Pollard's efforts. Thomas Smith & Daniel Soto scored our two goals and brand new goalkeepers Michael Sipe & Chandler Matthews played great games in net. It was a close game, and we finished down just one point. We’re excited to play them two more times this season.
